Hello families

School returns on Mon Oct 11th and it’s back to wearing a hat in the yard so please ensure your child locates theirs over the weekend. We usually give one days grace before asking students to play under a verandah. Hats are available to purchase from the office.

We have had some building projects take place over the holidays so please be aware as you return for drop offs and pick ups next week.

  • New windows and a ventilation system have been installed in the student toilets to keep out the creepy crawlies and improve airflow
  • A new back door has been installed coming out of the library towards the ampitheatre
  • The R/1 class has been transformed with patio doors at one end to open up the space onto the adjoining courtyard
  • Fencing will be installed around the courtyard when school commences
  • Nigel, Amie, Pud and some 6/7 students also relocated the planter boxes at the end of T3 ready for the building works. They are now in the amphitheatre area

In 2022, we will work on transforming the courtyard from a blank canvas (aka prison yard) to a vibrant and colourful outdoor learning space complete with artist murals and natural play spaces. The staff, students and families will be able to get involved and have their input into the design process and work.

Ben Harmer will be working with the 6/7 class at the start of T4 whilst Ms Carter recovers from surgery. He and Robyn have had a thorough handover and we expect things to be very smooth. Ben is a regular reliever at our school.

Covid regulations for schools remain the same so we encourage drop offs at the door and if you do need to enter the buildings then we ask that you use the QR codes displayed to check in. We continue to ask that you social distance on our school grounds and wear masks as per Government guidelines.

We look forward to a great term and seeing you all again on Monday morning
